Bring Google Fiber to Lima, Ohio!

Google is planning to launch an experimental Fiber Optic Internet Service that we hope will make Internet access better and faster for everyone. They plan to test this high-speed broadband network in one or more trial locations across the country.

From now until March 26th, all interested cities such as Lima, Ohio are providing information about their communities through a Request for information (RFI), which Google will use to determine where to build the Fiber network.

Google's network will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than Lima's current fastest internet service with fiber-to-the-home connections. Google will offer service at a competitive price to at least 50,000 and potentially up to 500,000 people, a population that the Lima area falls between.
